Pengaruh Jumlah Pelepah Yang Disisakan Dan Pemberian Pupuk Npk Terhadap Komponen Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit(Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.)
The productivity of oil palm plantations in Riau Province in 2021 in terms of oil palm plantations produced by smallholder plantations is still low compared to large state and private plantations. The low productivity of oil palm between smallholder plantations compared to large state and private plantations is due to poor management practices, one of which is frond management. Management of oil palm plant fronds plays an important role in the photosynthesis process. To meet the shortage of N, P and K nutrients in oil palm plants, fertilization is necessary. This research aims to determine the effect of pruning fronds and applying the best dose of NPK fertilizer on the production components of oil palm plants. This research was carried out in Bencah Kelubi Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This research was carried out experimentally using a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors, namely the number of oil palm fronds with three treatment levels, namely P0 = 48 per plant, P1 = 40 per plant, P2 = 32 per plant. The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer with four treatment levels, namely N0 = 0.5 kg per plant, N1 = 1.75 kg per plant, N2 = 3 kg per plant, N3 = 4.25 kg per plant. The parameters observed were the number of female flower bunches, the number of male flower bunches, sex ratio, the number of fruit bunches, the weight of the fruit bunches, the weight of fresh fruit, the volume of fresh fruit, and the thickness of the mesocarp. The results of the research showed that the number of fronds removed per plant and the NPK fertilizer factor of 4.25 kg per plant increased bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness of producing oil palm plants. The interaction of the number of fronds removed per plant and the application of NPK fertilizer did not have an influence on all observed parameters of yielding oil palm plants.
