Efektivitas Ekstrak Umbi Gadung ( Dioscorea Hispida Dennst.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera Frugiperda) Di Laboratorium

Efforts to control pests in plant cultivation are recommended to use vegetable pesticides because they are not harmful to people or the environment. Gadung tubers (Dioscorea hispida) have potential as a vegetable pesticide. This research aims to obtain a concentration of gadung tuber extract that is effective in controlling corn armyworm pests. Observation parameters consist of initial time of death, lethal time 50, daily mortality, total mortality, temperature and humidity. Daily mortality data obtained from research results is displayed in graphical form and analyzed descriptively. Initial data on mortality, total mortality, lethal time 50 were analyzed statistically using variance. The variance results were further tested using the honest significant difference test (HSD) at the 5% level.The research results showed that the application of gadung tuber extract with a concentration of 20 g.l-1 water was an effective concentration in controlling the S. Frugiperda pest because it was able to cause a total mortality of 88% with an initial death time of 4.50 hours after application and a lethal time of 50 in 35. 25 hours after application.
