Pengembangan Media Big Book Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Tema Menyayangi Tumbuhan Dan Hewan

This research is motivated by the lack of learning media regarding the material of loving plants and animals in elementary schools. The development of learning media aims to make it easier for students to understand the material, so that the learning process can provide maximum results and learning objectives can be achieved. Thematic learning on the material of loving plants and animals is abstract material so that students find it difficult to understand how important it is to love plants and animals without using learning media. Therefore, learning media is needed that can increase students' understanding, namely by developing big book media. The development of big book media on the material of loving plants and animals is carried out with the type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the 4-D model. The 4-D model consists of four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The data collection technique in this research is using interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were carried out by validation tests, teacher practicality tests and student responses. The subjects in this study were third grade elementary school students. The use of media can be concluded that big book media products on the material of loving plants and animals that have been developed have good quality and are suitable for use as learning media in elementary schools.
