Share prices are an attractive investment for many people, therefore this research was conducted to provide investors with an overview and additional considerations regarding what factors can influence shares and relate them to macroeconomic factors. In research, the accounting ratios used are ROA (Return on Asset Ratio), NPM (Net Profit Margin), OPM (Operation Profit Margin), while the macroeconomic factors studied are exchange rate, inflation rate and gross domestic product.
This research uses with the multiple regression method. From the results of the research it can be seen that in 2018 and 2019 Gross Domestic Product had no effect on stock prices, but after that in 2020 and 2021 GDB had an effect on stock prices, Exchange rate in 2018 and 2020 had an influence on share prices, but in 2019 and 2021 it had no influence on share prices. Inflation rate had a positive influence on share prices. In 2018 and 2019 ROA had an influence on share prices, but after that in 2020 and 2021 ROA has no influence on share prices, Net Profit Margin and Operation Profit Margin continuously have no influence on share prices. All x variables (GDP, ER, IR, ROA, OPM, NPM) simultaneously influence IDX company share prices, 97.5% of the variance in the dependent variable (share price) is explained by the independent variable in the regression model, while 2.5% is influenced by other variables outside the variables tested.
