Analisis Perubahan Garis Pantai Di Pulau Pagang, Sumatera Barat
The coastline is dynamic and changes over time. This is caused by hydro-oceanographic factors leading to erosion and accretion. The present study aims to analyze changes in the coastline of Pagang Island, West Sumatra Province, using DSAS (Digital Shoreline Analysis System) and observing other oceanographic parameters. Oceanographic observations were made at each station in January 2024. The results of the analysis of changes in the coastline of Pagang island for 30 years, the shoreline changes from 1993 to 2023 due to abrasion amounted to 57 meters, with a rate of change of approximately 2.6 meters per year. Abrasion occurred at stations 2 and 4, classified as moderate and high. The highest abrasion occurred between 2013 and 2023, categorized as moderate and high. Other changes included accretion at stations 1 and 3, and there were areas with no significant changes or stable conditions from 1993 to 2023. and was influenced by moderate category currents (0.26 - 084 m / sec) and low wave height (0.20-0.61 metres).
