Pengembangan Video Animasi Berbasis Aplikasi After Effect Pada Materi Aritmatika Sosial Di Sekolah Dasar
This research is motivated by the students' boredom in understanding mathematics material and the lack of variety in the use of instructional media. The aim of this research is to develop instructional media in the form of animation-based videos using the After Effect application for Social Arithmetic material in Elementary School. The development method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the study indicate that this animation-based instructional video media is very valid and highly practical for use. In the validation stage, the material aspect received an average score of 89.58% with the category of very valid, the media aspect received an average score of 98.43% with the category of very valid, and the language aspect received an average score of 97.22% with the category of very valid. The practicality results based on teacher response trials showed a percentage score of 97.40% with the category of very practical. Student trials were conducted with limited trials and obtained a percentage score of 97.56% with the category of very practical.
This instructional media is effective in enhancing students' understanding of Social Arithmetic material and received positive responses from both teachers and students, stating that the animation video is interesting and easy to understand. The use of technology in education is crucial to support the Merdeka Curriculum, where technology is not only a tool but also makes learning more interactive and engaging.
