Karakteristik Mortar Self-Healing Menggunakan Serbuk Karet, Abu Terbang, Dan Silica Fume Dengan Metode Rendaman Statis
ABSTRACT
Cracks incivilengineering structure components are one of the problems thataffect the service life of a building because the gaps that arise due to cracks can become a pathway for the entry of destructive substances. Therefore, a solution is needed to solve this problem without spending a lot of money and energy, namely self-healing mortar. Self-healing mortar is the ability of mortar to repair its own cracks. This research aims to determine the characteristics of self-healing mortar with rubber powder, fly ash, and silica fume. The combination of rubber powder with Portland cement, fly ash, and silica fume as binder was used to produce mortar that has good self-healing characteristics. There are four variations of mortar mixtures in this study, namely, PCC mortar, PCC mortar + 5% rubber powder, PCC mortar + 5% rubber powder + 5% fly ash, and PCC mortar + 5% rubber powder + 5% fly ash + 10% silica fume with a compressive strength plan of 21 MPa. Crack in the specimens was done at the age of 28 days, then the specimens were again immersed in water with static treatment method. Tests were conducted at the age of 0, 7, 28, and 91 days after crack during the treatment period. Durability, mechanical, and visual tests on the mortar were conducted to determine the self healing characteristics including flow value, set time, compressive strength, sorptivity, porosity, weightchange, and visual observation ofcracks. Visual test results showed that PCC-SK-AT-SF mortar showed the best crack closure of 100%, while PCC mortar showed the lowest crack closure of 89.94% at the age of 91 days. The compressive strength test results showed the highest compressive strength value in PCC-SK-AT-SF mortar with a value of 27.87 MPa at the age of 91 days. Based on the test results, mortar with the addition of 5% rubber crumb + 5% fly ash + 10% silica fume showed the best characteristics as a self healing mortar.
