Pemetaan Titik Banjir Di Kecamatan Bina Widya Kota Pekanbaru Menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (GIS)
The elevation of Pekanbaru City, ranging from 5 to 50 meters (MSL), mostly lies on relatively flat terrain, making it difficult to drain surface water. Therefore, if there is significant rainfall, it has the potential to cause flooding, as happens every year, especially in areas with relatively flat terrain due to slow drainage. This results in numerous flood points in the Bina Widya Sub-District of Pekanbaru City. Mapping flood points is necessary to identify these areas in the Bina Widya Sub-District with the aim of enhancing the preparedness and readiness of the community to face flood disasters. Flood point mapping in the Bina Widya Sub-District of Pekanbaru City can be carried out using the Geographic Information System (GIS). The objective of this research is to create a flood point map in the Bina Widya Sub-District of Pekanbaru City based on flood depth, extent, duration, and frequency using GIS. The method used in this research is a direct survey of the research location, with the objects being the flood points in the Bina Widya Sub-District. The parameters reviewed include flood depth, frequency, duration, extent, and their impacts based on field observations, which are then processed based on information obtained from relevant agencies and local communities. After mapping the flood points, an assessment of flood parameters is conducted to determine priority levels for addressing the floods based on the regulations outlined in Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation No. 12 of 2014. Based on this research, it can be concluded that there are 19 flood points in the Bina Widya Sub-District of Pekanbaru City, with 4 of them being identified as priority 1 for intervention.
