ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and International Cinnamon Prices and the Rupiah Exchange Rate on the Export Volume of Indonesian Cinnamon to the United States. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of a time series. In this research, the method used as an analytical tool is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) to determine changes in the value of the dependent variable, namely Indonesian Cinnamon Export Volume, which is influenced by independent variables, namely United States Gross Domestic Product (GDP), International Cinnamon Prices and Exchange Rates. using multiple linear regression techniques. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, namely explaining computerized results using the E-Views 9 program.
The results of the analysis show that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United States has a positive and significant influence on the Export Volume of Indonesian Cinnamon to the United States in 2000-2022, International Cinnamon Prices have a negative and significant influence on the Export Volume of Indonesian Cinnamon to the United States in 2000-2022 and The exchange rate has a positive and insignificant effect on the export volume of Indonesian cinnamon to the United States in 2000-2022.
The results of the Coefficient of Determination (R2) are carried out to see how large the proportion of influence of the independent variable is on the dependent variable. In this case, the coefficient of determination value used is Adjusted R-Squared which is a coefficient of determination that has been corrected for the number of variables and sample size. So it is known that the Adjusted R-Squared value is 0.436671 or 43.66%. This indicates that 43.66% of the change in Indonesian Cinnamon Export Volume to the United States was caused by changes in the United States Gross Domestic Product (GDP), International Cinnamon Prices and Exchange Rates. Meanwhile, the remaining 56.34% of the change in Indonesian Cinnamon Export Volume to the United States was caused by changes in other variables not used in the research.
