Analisis Kerapatan Mangrove, Stok Karbon Dan Serapan Co₂ Pada Ekosistem Hutan Bakau Di Desa Mengkapan, Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak
This research was conducted in February - March 2024, located in the Estuary of Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of density, biomass, carbon stock and CO₂ uptake, and to determine the relationship between density and biomass, carbon stock and CO₂ uptake of mangroves. The method used is the survey method. At the research site found 3 types of species namely Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculata, and Sonneratia alba. the average number of mangrove stand density in the three research stations is 1,218.52 ind / ha, the average amount of mangrove biomass 303.08 tons / ha, the average amount of mangrove carbon stock 142.45 tons / ha. The average amount of sediment carbon stock was 2,756.80 tons/ha and the average amount of CO₂ absorption was 521.23 tons/ha. The relationship of mangrove density to biomass, carbon stock and CO₂ uptake has a moderate relationship between mangrove stand density and mangrove biomass, carbon content and CO₂ uptake. This is because the high biomass, carbon stocks and CO₂ uptake are not only influenced by density but are influenced by other factors such as the amount of tree diameter, plant age, sediment fertility or habitat where trees grow.
