Hubungan Diameter Pohon Dengan Stok Karbon Vegetasi mangrove di Desa Apar Kota Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat
This research was conducted in January 2024 in the mangrove area of Apar Village, Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province. The aim of this research is to determine the condition of density and carbon stock and to determine the relationship between the diameter of mangrove trees of the Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia caseolaris and Sonneratia alba types with carbon stock mangrove. The method used in this research is a survey method with direct observation and data collection at the research location. Sampling was carried out using non-destructive sampling by measuring the DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) of mangrove trees in each plot. Biomass calculations are carried out using the allometric equation. The average density of mangrove stands at the three research stations was 1,222.22 tonnes/ha, the average amount of mangrove biomass was 688.49 tonnes/ha, the average amount of mangrove carbon stock was 323.59 tonnes/ha, and the average mangrove CO₂ uptake is 1,186.51 tons/ha. The results of the ANOVA analysis showed that biomass, carbon stock and CO₂ uptake of mangroves between stations were not significantly different (p ≥ 0.05). The regression relationship between tree diameter with carbon stock mangrove obtained different results between types, namely that the R.mucronata type had a strong relationship with a correlation value of 0,74. The types S. caseolaris and S. alba have a very strong relationship with correlation values of 0,96 and 0,94.
