Konsentrasi Nitrat, Fosfat, Silikat, Bahan Organik, Dan Hubungannya Terhadap Kelimpahan Diatom Di Perairan Sungai Pakning Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau
The study aimed to analyze the relationship between the concentration of nitrate, phosphate, silicate, and organic matter with diatom abundance in the waters of Pakning River, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. Sampling was conducted from March to April 2024 at three purposively selected stations, namely Pertamina Refinery, Tanjung Punak Village, and Roro Port. The results showed that nitrate concentrations ranged from 0,12-0,13 mg/l, phosphate 0,92-1,01 mg/l, silicate 0,49-0,54 mg/l and organic matter 16,55-19,90 mg\l. The highest diatom abundance was found in Tanjung Punak Village Waters with an average of 291,166 ind/l and the lowest in Roro Harbor with an average of 229,170 ind/l. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the concentrations of nitrate, phosphate, silicate, and organic matter can jointly influence 41,4% of the variation in diatom abundance (R² = 0,414), while the other 58,6% is influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study. This study highlights the importance of monitoring water quality in Pakning River waters to preserve the ecosystem and understand the influence of environmental factors on diatom abundance.
