Studi Komparatif Struktur Komunitas Gastropoda Pada Pantai Substrat Lumpur Dan Batu Di Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau
This research was carried out in April 2024 in the Mangrove Area of Bandar Bakau and Puak Beach, Dumai City, Riau Province. The aimed of this research is to knowing the comparison of the structure of gastropod communities on mud and rock substrate beaches, including type, abundance index, dominance, diversity, richness, evenness and similarity of species. This research uses a survey method consisting of 2 stations. Station 1 is in the Bandar Bakau Mangrove area, Pangkalan Sesai Village (mud substrate) and station 2 is at Puak Beach, Teluk Makmur Village (stone substrate). Gastropod sampling is done through visual encounters (exploring) without determining transects or area size, but observations are limited to 2 hours. The data obtained is presented in the form of tables and graphs and then discussed descriptively statistically. The results showed that found 6 families, 8 genera and 10 species of gastropods in the mud substrate area, 4 families, 4 genera and 4 species were found in the rock substrate area. The abundance of gastropods at station 1 was classified as high (0.58), while station 2 was classified as low (0.20). The dominance index value is higher on the stone substrate with a value of (0.88) compared to the mud substrate with a value of (0.42). The gastropod diversity index at station 1 was classified as moderate (0.58) while at station 2 was classified as low (0.12). The species richness index at stations 1 and 2 is relatively high with values of (0.90) and (0.75). The gastropod evenness index at station 1 was classified as high (0.64) while at station 2 was classified as low (0.16). The overall gastropod type similarity index has a value of (0.43) which is included in the low category.
