Identifikasi Tanaman Obat Potensial Di Kecamatan Tualang Kabupaten Siak

People in Tualang District grow many medicinal plants, but many do not know the types and benefits. This knowledge is generally only understood by the elderly, so research is needed to identify the diversity and benefits of medicinal plants. This study aims to identify various types of medicinal plants, benefits, ways of utilization, and ways of cultivating medicinal plants in Tualang District. This research was conducted using a survey method, with data collection techniques namely interviews, identification and documentation of medicinal plants. Observation and data collection were carried out by observing the types of medicinal plants, benefits, ways of utilization and ways of cultivation of medicinal plants by the people of Tualang District. Data analysis in this study used descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The data were presented in tabular form. The results showed that medicinal plants utilized and propagated by respondents in Tualang District amounted to 41 types. Respondents utilize medicinal plants in various ways. Respondents planted medicinal plants by doing stem cuttings, rhizome cuttings, grafts and planting seeds directly. Maintenance of medicinal plants is by watering, weeding, fertilizing, and controlling pests and diseases.
