Analisis Hubungan Kandungan Bahan Organik Total Sedimen Dengan Kelimpahan Makrozoobentos Di Pantai Desa Concong Dalam, Indragiri Hilir, Riau
This research was carried out in February-March 2024 in the coastal waters of Concong Dalam Village, Indragiri Hilir, Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between total sediment organic matter and macrozoobentos abundance. The method used is the survey method. There are three sampling stations, namely Station 1 is in the mangrove forest area, Station 2 is adjacent to sea transportation routes, and Station 3 is in residential areas. Each station is placed five perpendicular transects and each transec has 3 zones, namely lower, middle, and upper. Macrozoobentos samples were taken with a shovel and filtered using a 1 mm sieve, put into the plastic of the labeled sample and a 10% formalin solution as a preservative. Next, the type of macrozoobenthos and the number of individuals were identified. Sediment samples were taken using a paralon with a diameter of 10 cm to analyze the sediment type and total organic matter content of the sediment. The results of the study showed that the species found consisted of 3 classes, namely Crustacea as many as 6 species, Gastropods as many as 15 species and Polychaeta only 1 species, so that a total of 22 species. The abundance of macrozoobentos in the location ranges from 27,000-62,000 ind/ha. The organic matter content obtained at each station ranged from 10.39-12.88% Based on the statistical analysis of the relationship between organic matter content and macrozoobentos abundance, including the medium relationship criterion (r = 0.431) where the higher the organic matter content, the abundance of macrozoobenthos in the waters also increased.
Keywords: organic matter, macrozoobentos, station, zone.
