Analisis Kualitas Air Berdasarkan Parameter Fisika Dan Kimia Di Teluk Kabung Bungus Sumatera Barat
This research was conducted in March 2024 in the waters of Bungus District, Teluk
Kabung, West Sumatra. The aim of the study was to assess the condition and quality of the waters around the Teluk Kabung, Bungus area, along with the concentration of its physical and chemical parameters. The method used in this research was a survey method, involving direct observation and purposive sampling to determine sample collection locations. The sampling sites were divided into four stations, considering the environmental conditions of Teluk Kabung's waters. Samples were taken twice, during high and low tides, at an estimated distance of 100 meters from the shoreline. The results showed that water clarity ranged from 1.9 m to 3.24 m, indicating that the clarity did not meet quality standards. Additionally, all stations showed that the DO (Dissolved Oxygen) levels in Teluk Kabung's waters were suboptimal, with a value of 4.89 mg/L during high tide and 3.99 mg/L during low tide. The condition of the Teluk Kabung waters requires close monitoring of water quality due to the numerous activities in the area, including port operations, industry, tourism, and residential settlements, which can affect the water quality due to the observed decline in water quality in the research area.
