Identifikasi Sifat Fisik Tanah Pada Empat Perkebunan Rakyat (Kelapa Sawit, Karet, Jeruk Manis, Dan Durian) Di Kabupaten Kampar
This research aims to identify the physical properties of soil in four plantations (oil palm, rubber, sweet orange and durian) in Kampar Regency, and compare soil physical properties in DT soil samples (under the canopy) and LT soil samples (outside the canopy). This research was carried out for 3 months starting from October 2022 to December 2022. The method used in this research is survey method and laboratory analysis. Each plantation, soil samples were taken at two points, namely under the plant canopy (the middle part between the tip of the canopy and the plant tree) and outside the plant canopy (in the middle between the two plant trees). Smallholder whose physical characteristics were identified were (1) oil palm, (2) rubber, (3) sweet orange, and (4) durian, zigzag sampling was repeated 3 times with depths of 0 – 30 cm and 30 – 60 cm respectively. There are several parameters analyzed, namely (1) soil texture, (2) soil color, (3) soil structure, (4) bulk density, (5) total pore space, (6) permeability, (7) infiltration rate, (8) field capacity, (9) water available for plants, and (10) organic matter. The results of the research show that the physical properties of the soil in the four smallholder plantations are different. Different vegetation provides soil characteristics, both as a result of fallen plant litter as a supply of soil organic matter, land cultivation, and the intensity of land cultivation.
