Pengaruh Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit dan Pupuk Nitrogen terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Padi Gogo (Oryza sativa L.)

This study set out to ascertain the factors that influence the interaction between Oil Palm Empty Bunches (OPEB) compost and nitrogen fertilizer, as well as the optimal combination dose for enhancing the development and yield of upland rice plants (Oryza sativa L.). The study was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This study was conducted from May to September 2023. This study used a factor arranged according to a completely randomized design factorial consisting of two factors, the first factor is Oil Palm Empty Bunches (OPEB) consisting of four levels, namely: T0: Control, T1: 25 g OPEB compost per polybag, T2: 50 g OPEB compost per polybag, and T3: 75 g OPEB compost per polybag. The second factor is nitrogen fertilizer, which comes in three levels: N1: 0.5 g nitrogen fertilizer per polybag, N2: 1 g nitrogen fertilizer per polybag, and N3: 1.5 g nitrogen fertilizer per polybag. There were 36 experimental units as a result of the 12 treatments that the two combination factors produced being repeated three times. The results showed that the combination of OPEB compost and Nitrogen fertilizer had an effect on plant height, maximum number of tillers, productive tillers, number of grains per panicle and weight of milled dry grain. The application of OPEB compost affects plant height, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of grains per panicle, weight of milled dry grain and harvest index. Nitrogen fertilizer influences plant height, crown dry weight, root dry weight, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of filled grain per panicle, percentage of filled grain, weight of milled dry grain and harvest index. The best treatment combination to improve the growth and production of upland rice varieties Inpago 12 can be given OPEB compost 75 g per polybag with Nitrogen fertilizer 1,5 g per polybag.
