Pengaruh Pemberian Konsorsium Bakteri Selulolitik untuk Menghasilkan Kompos Kulit Pisang Berkualitas
Banana peels not be used optimally, so they need to be used as fertilizer by composting. Compost is one of the most natural fertilizers that is widely used for agriculture. Compost fertilizer or often called compost has become an alternative that has been developed recently considering that soil conditions are starting to deteriorate. This research was carried out at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Bina Widya Campus, Pekanbaru from May to November 2023. The research was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment of cellulolytic bacterial isolates (S) consisted of 5 treatment levels. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications, so that 15 experimental units were obtained. Observation data is presented in qualitative and quantitative form. Qualitative data is analyzed descriptively while quantitative data is analyzed using analysis of variance, if it has a real effect it is further tested with the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at the 5% level. Research activities consist of rejuvenating cellulolytic bacterial isolates, preparing compost material, composting, maintaining and harvesting compost. The parameters observed were temperature, color, odor, volume shrinkage, pH, C-Organic (determining ash content), N-Total (Kjeldhal), C/N ratio, P-total, K-total and compost microbial population (TPC). The results showed that the administration of a consortium of cellulolytic bacteria had no significant effect on volume reduction, C-Organic, C/N ratio, P-total, K-total, pH of compost but had a significant effect on temperature and N-Total. Consortium V was the best treatment with a volume reduction of 64.03%, C-Organic 48.33%, N-Total 1.89%, C/N ratio 25.61, P−total 0.41,% K−total 8, 50% and pH 6.72.
