Uji Konsentrasi Cendawan Entomopatogen Cordyceps militaris L. Fries Lokal terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith di Laboratorium
The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith) is a major pest of maize crops. Biological control using local Cordyceps militaris L. Fries can control S. frugiperda. C. militaris has cordycepin toxin which generally attacks larvae and pupaeofthe order Lepidoptera. Thestudyaimed to obtain the concentration of local entomopathogenic fungi C. militaris as a bioinsecticide against the mortality of fall armyworm S. frugiperda in laboratory. The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from December 2023 to March 2024. The research is used a complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments given was the concentration of local C. militaris 0 g.l-1 water, 10 g.l-1 water, 20 g.l-1 water, 30 g.l-1 water, 40 g.l-1 water and 50 g.l-1 water. The application of local C. militaris concentration of 40 g.l-1 water with a conidia density of 16,20 x 107 kon.ml-1 can be stated as a bioinsecticide to control S. frugiperda larvae, because it is able to cause a total mortality of S. frugiperda larvae of 82,50%, an initial time of death of 15 hours after application of local C. militaris and a lethal time of 50 for 49 hours after application of local C. militaris. The appropriate concentration of local C. militaris in killing 50% of the population of S. frugiperda larvae is 1.32% equivalent to 13.2 g.l-1 water, the appropriate concentration in killing95% of S. frugiperda larvae is 9.76% concentration equivalent to 97.6 g.l-1 water.
