Efek Lebar Tapak Timbun dan Bahan Organik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Akar Adventif Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis jacq.)
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is an important plantation commodity in the Indonesian economy as it is the country's main foreign exchange earner. The low production and productivity of oil palm plants, one of the causes is genetic factors and not applying good technical culture, so that tread fill can be one of the solutions. Making a treadmill is useful for activating adventitious roots. Root activation can also be supplemented by providing organic material as organic mulch from the oil palm plants themselves. This study aims to determine the interaction and single factor between the width of the stockpile and the provision of organic materials on the growth and adventitious roots in producing oil palm plants, and get the best treatment. The research was conducted experimentally using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors, namely the width of the stockpile diameter (20 cm, 30 cm, and 40 cm) and the provision of organic materials (without, empty palm bunches, fronds, and a combination of empty bunches and fronds). From the two factors, 12 combinations were obtained, each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, resulting in 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of one sample tree so that the total number of sample trees used is 36 trees. Based on the research conducted, it is recommended to use Based on the research that has been carried out, it is recommended to apply a 40 cm width of tread fill and 48 kg of oil palm empty fruit bunch dosing on plants in the rooting area of producing oil palm plants to help stimulate the growth of adventitious roots of oil palm plants.
