Bioremediasi Tanah Terkontaminasi Minyak Bumi Menggunakan Pupuk Kascing, Eco-Enzyme, Dan Serbuk Kayu Sebagai Biostimulan
ABSTRACT
The high production of petroleum increases the potential for soil pollution due to petroleum spills. Petroleum consists of petroleum hydrocarbon (PH) compounds that can be detrimental to the environment. Bioremediation is the most suitable technique to remove petroleum contaminants. Therefore, this study aimed to obtain the optimum composition of biostimulants through biostimulation with a combination of fertilizer kascing, eco-enzyme, and wood powder in bioremediation of petroleum contaminated soil. The degradation of total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) of petroleum was monitored gravimetrically and total plate count (TPC). The main study was conducted by varying the concentration of the combination of vermicompost, eco-enzyme, and sawdust fertilizer sequentially by: (5%, 3%,10%), (5%, 3%, 15%), (5%, 10%, 10%), (5%, 10%, 15%) (2%, 3%, 10%) (2%, 3%, 15%) (2%, 10%, 10%) (2%, 10%, 15%) (0%, 0%, 0%). The results showed that the most optimum combination consisted of 5% w/w vermicompost fertilizer, 10% v/w eco-enzyme, and 15% w/w sawdust. This combination supported bacterial growth and accelerated the degradation of petroleum TPH. The best results were shown by the removal of TPH by 97.3% with a final TPH value of 0.104% after 63 days.
