Potensi Pengembangan Ekowisata Kelong Pancing Madu Tiga Di Perairan Senggarang Besar Kota Tanjungpinang Provinsi Kepulauan Riau
The research was carried out in December 2024-March 2025 at Kelong Pancing Madu Tiga, located in the Senggarang Besar Waters of Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province. The research aims to identify the potential and key attractions that require development in Kelong Pancing Madu Tiga as a marine ecotourism area, assess the suitability and carrying capacity of the area for ecotourism activities, evaluate community perceptions, and formulate strategies for the development of marine ecotourism in support of sustainable tourism. The survey method was employed in this research. Sampling stations were determined using a random sampling technique. Water quality parameters observed included temperature, brightness, salinity, pH, current velocity, and depth. The respondents consisted of 20 tourists, 20 local residents, 20 business actors, and 10 policymakers. Based on the Tourism Suitability Index, Kelong Pancing Madu Tiga scored 66.66% (conditionally suitable) for coastal recreational tourism, 96.29% (suitable) for fishing tourism, and 79.16% (suitable) for boating and canoeing activities. The total carrying capacity of the area was estimated at 1,041 persons/day, which significantly exceeds the average daily visitor count of 151 people, indicating that tourism activities can be accommodated without exceeding the environmental capacity. Based on the SWOT analysis through field observations and the identification of various influencing factors, the results revealed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Kelong Pancing Madu Tiga. The very high suitability level for fishing tourism emerged as the most dominant aspect, indicating that the main potential of this area lies in its development as a leading marine ecotourism destination based on fishing activities.
