Analisis Defect Printing Rotogravure Dengan Metode Fishbone Dan Solusi Perbaikan
ABSTRACT
The rotogravure printing technique is a direct printing technique. Printing techniques in deep printing or rotogravure include direct printing techniques, namely printing raw materials directly in contact with the gravure cylinder as an image carrier. During the production process, there are often production defects such as printing defects. The existence of printing defects in wrapping products is one aspect that can affect customer dissatisfaction. In this final project, it is studied about “Rotogravure Printing Defect Analysis with Fishbone Method and Improvement Solution” which aims to find out what types of defects occur and improvement solutions to reduce defects. The data used in this final project was secondary data obtained from the NCR report. The methods used during the writing of the Final Project report were observation and data collection, the methods used in this final project were the fishbone diagram and 5W + 1H methods. Based on the results of the analysis, there were five types of printing defects that occurred in In House Packaging in February 2024-February 2025, namely ink line, blocking, blushing, shade variation and wrinkle. However, this final project focused on discussing the two most dominant defects, namely ink line with a defect value of 41,965 meters and blocking of 8,972 meters. The fishbone diagram was used to find the root cause of the problem by identifying several factors such as man, machine, material and method. The solution to fix the two types of defects was the what, who, where, when, why and how (5W+1H) method.
