Penjadwalan Perawatan Dan Perbaikan Mesin Governor Di Plta Maninjau Sumatra Barat
ABSTRACT
Maninjau Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA Maninjau) is a vital energy source in West Sumatra with a total capacity of 70 MW. One of its essential components is the governor machine, which regulates turbine speed and electrical frequency. To reduce downtime caused by unexpected failures, a well-planned maintenance strategy is required. This study applies the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify critical components based on Severity, Occurrence, and Detection values, resulting in a Risk Priority Number (RPN). The most critical components are further analyzed using Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) to determine optimal maintenance intervals. The data used were collected from Governor Unit 1 at PLTA Maninjau during the 2023–2024 period. The analysis identified four critical components: Proportional Valve, Reducing Valve, Main Valve, and Pilot Directional Valve, each with an RPN of 64. Based on MTTF and MTTR calculations, scheduled maintenance intervals are proposed to improve system reliability and reduce downtime risk.
