Simulasi Numerik Pengaruh Bresing Pada Sistem Sdof Dan Mdof Terhadap Beban Dinamis
ABSTRACT
Unpredictable earthquakes have a major impact on structures, especially without
bracing which has low strength against seismic forces. This study aims to analyze
the effect of bracing on the natural frequency and dynamic response of SDOF and
MDOF structures using the time history method. The dimensions of the structural
system modeling refer to data from previous laboratory studies. The structural
model refers to previous laboratory data with variations of one to three levels, both
with and without bracing. The material used is white meranti wood. The analysis
was carried out using the time history method using eight dynamic loads, namely
sinusoidal, triangular, vibrating table loads, and earthquake recordings from
SeismoSignal 3D. The parameters observed include natural frequency,
displacement, velocity, and acceleration. The results show that the application of
bracing reduces the natural frequency and drastically reduces the maximum system
structure response to dynamic loads. Of all the models described, the 1-level model
shows the largest structural response compared to other models. The maximum
displacement response value of 9.72 cm in the model without bracing (Model 1A)
decreased to 0.01 cm after bracing was used (Model 1B). The maximum velocity
response decreased from 32.87 cm/s in Model 1A to 0.12 cm/s in Model 1B.
Furthermore, the maximum acceleration response value decreased from 158.26
cm/s² in Model 1A to 5.30 cm/s² in Model 1B.
