Penentuan Nilai Optimum Parameter Penggunaan Plastik Shrink Film Pada Mesin Pallet Packing
The Finishing Department is the final stage of the paperboard product production
process, in this area there will be a process of grouping and packaging products
based on customer requests. The packaging process has a main machine, namely
a pallet packing machine which functions to package products using shrink film
plastic material. The packaging process using these tools and materials has
control parameters consisting of temperature and time for applying material to
the product, the function of controlling these parameters so that the material used
can be used maximally and reduce the number of defects on the machine. Plastic
shrink film material has properties that are sensitive to heating temperature and
time, too high temperature and time can cause the material to melt and if the
temperature and time are low, the shrink film material cannot be applied to the
product optimally. This final project aims to determine the optimum value of the
parameters of temperature and heating time when using shrink film material on a
pallet packing machine. The data used in this project is primary data obtained
directly through research using machines and samples that are already available
and processed using the optimum graph. There are temperature variations namely
200oC, 205 oC and 210 oC. and time variations namely 20, 21, 22, 23 seconds.
The results stated that the temperature variation of 205 oC and time of 22 seconds
resulted in the highest accept product of 27 products and was determined to be the
optimum value of the two parameters on the machine.
