Analisis Kandungan Total Minyak Pada Air Dan Sedimen Di Perairan Pantai Desa Lalang, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batubara
This study aimed to analyze the total oil content in water and sediment and to assess the relationship between the two in the coastal waters of Lalang Village, Medang Deras Subdistrict, Batubara Regency. Samples were collected from three stations representing a tourist area, a river estuary, and an industrial area. The Gravimetri method (API 1340) was used for water, while the Soxhlet method was employed for sediment. The oil content in water ranged from 0.0297 ppm to 0.1680 ppm with an average of 0.0958 ppm, while oil content in sediment ranged from 448.8 ppm to 709.1 ppm with an average of 589.44 ppm. One-way ANOVA showed significant differences between stations (p< 0.05), and regression analysis showed a moderate positive correlation between oil content in water and sediment (r=0.6746; R2=0.4551). These results indicate that while the water remains within the national seawater quality standard, the sediment is polluted and requires further attention.
