analisis kesalahan unsur intrinsik dalam menulis cerpen siswa kelas v sekolah dasar
This study aims to identify errors in the application of intrinsic elements of short stories made by fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year with a population of 135 students, and a sample of 60 students selected through a simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a short story writing essay test with the theme "Holiday", which was assessed based on seven indicators of intrinsic elements: theme, setting, plot, characters and characterization, point of view, style of language, and moral. The results showed that the students' overall abilities were in the moderate category, with an average score of 74.58. The theme indicator obtained the highest score, namely 94.71, which is included in the very high category, while the style indicator obtained the lowest score, namely 49.98, which is included in the very low category. This finding shows that the type of intrinsic element error most frequently made by fifth grade students of SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru is in the aspect of language style, which reflects the students' still low ability to use language that is appropriate to the context of writing short stories.
