This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning model in improving critical thinking skills at SMKN Pertanian Terpadu Riau. The research design used is a quasi-experiment with a post-test only control group design. The population in this study consisted of 416 students, with a sample of 28 students in the experimental class and 28 students in the control class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets. The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental class that used the project-based learning model and the control class that used conventional learning methods. The results of this study show that the project-based learning model is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills at SMKN Pertanian Terpadu Riau.
