This study was motivated by the low interest in entrepreneurship among Indonesian students, including students of Economics Education, FKIP, University of Riau. In fact, entrepreneurship can be a strategic solution to overcome the high unemployment rate. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of family environment and entrepreneurship education on interest in entrepreneurship, both directly and indirectly through income expectations. This study used a quantitative approach with a census method on 110 Economics Education students from the 2021 intake. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis assisted by IBM AMOS 23 software. The results of the study showed that: (1) family environment does not affect income expectations; (2) entrepreneurship education affects income expectations; (3) income expectations affect interest in entrepreneurship; (4) family environment has a direct effect on interest in entrepreneurship, but does not have an indirect effect through income expectations; and (5) entrepreneurship education does not have a direct effect on interest in entrepreneurship, but has an indirect effect through income expectations. Thus, income expectations are proven to be an intervening variable that strengthens the influence of entrepreneurship education on students' interest in entrepreneurship. This study recommends the need to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education and support the family environment to encourage the growth of an entrepreneurial spirit among students.
