Each study certainly has a purpose and purpose, based on the formulation of
existing problems, then the goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the level
of VO2Max athletes swimming KU-I and KU-II Megalodon Aquatic. Data
collected using survey methods and instruments used in this study is 12 – Minute
Swimming. In this study, the approach used is descriptive quantitative because the
data collected and measured directly expressed by numbers to describe the study,
and explain a phenomenon with data (numbers) as it is without intending to test a
particular hypothesis. This study was conducted at the Aquatic Center Tumbai
located in Lembah Damai, Kec. RumbaiPesisir, Pekanbaru City, Riau 28266. The
samples in this study were Ku-I and KU-II megalodon Aquatic Swimming athletes
totaling 7 athletes in which the sampling technique used is total sampling technique.
Data analysis techniques used in this study quantitative descriptive analysis. Based
on the results and discussion, the data collected from the results of the 12-Minute
Swimming Test to measure the level of VO2Max physical condition in all then it
can be concluded that the VO2Max level of all athletes swimming KU-I and KU-II
Megaldodon Aquatic included in the category of “very good” by 0% as many as 0
Athletes, category “Good” by 14.25% as many as 1 athlete, category“enough” by
14.25% as many as 1 athlete, category “less” by 43% as many as 3 athletes, and
category “very less” by 28.5 2% of athletes. Based on these conclusions, it can be
interpreted that KU-I and KU-II megalodon Aquatic Swimming athletes are
unstable in getting achievements in swimming, especially in numbers that prioritize
VO2Max.
