Difusi inovasi peningkatan pelayanan publik melalui website pemerintahan nagari simalanggang di kabupaten lima puluh kota Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Nagari Simalanggang is one of the villages in the Lima Puluh Kota Regency that has implemented public services through a website, which has received national recognition in the field of public information transparency in the Developing Village category. The purpose of this research is to examine how the diffusion of innovation is utilized to enhance public services by implementing a website as a service option for the community of Nagari Simalanggang, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province. This study analyzes how innovation, communication channels, timeframes, and social systems are formed using the theory of diffusion of innovation.
This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The selection of informants was conducted using purposive sampling, with a total of 7 informants, including village officials, the Public Information Disclosure Officer (PPID), and community members who are the target of socialization. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, as well as secondary data through literature reviews. The data collection techniques used were those of Miles and Huberman, and the validity of the data was checked through triangulation of data sources, techniques, and time.
The results of the study indicate that, first, innovation is a strategic step to improve the quality of public services; second, the communication channels used are new media, which have proven to be effective; third, the acceptance of innovation by the community occurs gradually; and finally, the success of adopting this innovation is influenced by the active role of the innovator. In conclusion, this innovation has successfully improved the quality of public services
