Abstract
This research describes the Iran strategy in refusing the holocaust
propaganda. Holocaust was the persecution of approximately six million Jews by
the Nazi regime and its colaborators during the second world wars. The holocaust
itself was a controversial issue, there were a denials and supports for this event.
By using the holocaust propaganda Zionist group managed to establish the state
of Israel. Conference of holocaust is one form of public diplomacy by Iran to
refuse the holocaust propaganda. Through this conference Iran seeks to prove the
holocaust lie propaganda which is used as a justification for the establishment of
the state of Israel.
The writer used data collected from books, encyclopedias, journals, mass
media, and website to analyze the Iran’s strategy to refuse the holocaust
propaganda. The theory used in this research is the theory of public diplomacy
and mass communication theory.
This paper points out how Iran’s strategy in refusing holocaust
propaganda, which is conducted by several ways. Holocaust propaganda has
caused a response from the government of Iran, who returned to question the
truth of the holocaust. For that reason, Iran’s holocaust conference aims to
gather researchers who want to do research on this tragedy. In refusing the
holocaust propaganda, Iran also use another approaches to refuse this issue, such
as the holocaust cartoon festival, make the site holocartoon.com and make a
movie.
