Pekanbaru is the capital city of Riau province that has area of
approximately 632.26 Km2, based on the results of Population Census that which
conducted by BPS Pekanbaru during the month of May 2010, The big rate of this
citizen development causes the increasing of housing development and also that
makes the need for bricks will also increase.
Clay is a constitute raw material for make bricks. Bricks is the main
ingredient for home construction. Research against requirement the materials for
bricks carried the out on two brick factories in Pekanbaru city in from 2007 until
2011. From this calculation, it can be estimated the necessity for 2011-2015 by
using Excell and SPSS version 17 program. Method that used is Double
Exponential Smoothing with Winter’s Additive type.
Forecasting results of the basic materials for brick press in the year 2012-
2016 is, total requirement of raw materials brick press by Dedi Herman,SE=
9527,35m3, from total requirement of raw materials brick press by Joni
Irwandi=7109,67m3. For total wages of workers by Dedi Herman,SE 2012-2016=
Rp 483.845.106, For total wages of workers by Joni Irwandi 2012-2016= Rp
332.112.612. From the prediction of using raw materials brick press is likely to
increase, caused of by increased residential development in the city of Pekanbaru,
thus the need against use brick press as the main ingredient in building
construction also increased. MAPE value (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) is
7,850% or the accuration correctness rate from this estimation is almost 92%.
