Kajian Pengaruh Konsentrasi Asam Stearat Terhadap Pembuatan Sabun Transparan
Soap is made with a cleaning chemical reaction between sodium or potassium bases with fatty acids from vegetable oils or animal fats. The main component of soap-making consists of a chain fatty acid C12 - C18 and sodium salts. Transparent soap is a soap that has the highest level of transparency, emits light that spreads in the form of small particles, so that objects which are outside the soap would seem obvious. The oldest method is to dissolve the soap in alcohol with gentle heating to form a clear solution, which was then given a dye and fragrance. In this study, transparent soap making by varying the concentration of stearic acid on transparent soap is 7.96, 11.4, 14.75, 17.7 and 20.6% (w / w). This research aims to study and assess the effect of the concentration of stearic acid as materials for transparent soap. To obtain optimum conditions in the soap making process transparent. The results can be the relationship of the concentration of stearic acid transparent soap is the higher concentration of stearic acid will have an impact on the decrease in water content, pH, and foam stability, whereas for violence on his soap also getting lower and optimal results obtained in the manufacture of transparent soap with sterat acid concentrations were low at 11.4 (%).
