Perancangan Dan Pembuatan Mesin Las Gesek Rotari Tegak Bar-Plate
Friction welding is one of the alternative splicing two pieces of metal by utilizing the thermal energy of the two pieces of material which friction in pressure and rotation. The mechanism of friction welding a torque of the electric motor is connected to the transmission to play one material, and given the pressure on the remaining material in a stationary state. The heat arising from the friction of two pieces of the material is able to reach the flash point and forging pressure is given to connect the two pieces of material. To obtain the friction welding machine performance varied round, pressure, and time on the welding process. The welding process variables given round with forging pressure reaches 1 MPa. The type of material tested on the performance of the friction welding machine is mild steel and the results obtained in the process of friction welding the two materials form the frictional pressure of 0.5 MPa and forging pressure of 0.7-0.8 MPa with a round bar diameter of 10 mm and 3 mm of thick plate by friction of time ranging between 25-40 seconds and forgings time ranged from 10-15 seconds at 2513 rpm rotation variations, 2684 rpm and 4356 rpm.
