Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Industri Logam Di Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted on Metal industry in Riau Province. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of labor factor, raw material, and investment to metal industry production and to know the most dominant factor to the production of metal industry in Riau Province.
This study uses secondary data obtained from Disperindag Riau Province. The method used is descriptive quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis model with calculation tool of SPSS computer program facility (statistical package social science) version 2.1
The results showed that partially variable of labor (X1) has a negative and insignificant effect on the production of metal industry, whereas in the variable Raw materials (X2), and Investment (X3) has a positive and significant influence on the production of metal industry in Riau Province . The simultaneous test results concluded that together there is a significant influence of labor variable (X1), raw material (X2), and investment (X3) on the production of metal industry (Y) in Riau Province. Regression analysis yielded coefficient of determination (R2) equal to 0,997. This means that the variables affecting industrial metal production can be explained by labor, raw material, and investment variable of 99.7%. While the remaining 0.3% is explained by other factors not discussed in this study.
