Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Awal Melalui Permainan Kartu Kata Bergambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di PAUD It Insani Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu
Based on field observations indicate that there are children who can not mention the symbols of letters known, there are children who do not know the sound of the initial letter of the name of the objects in the surrounding areas, there are children who can not mention groups of images that have sound/ letter the same start, there are children who do not understand the relationship between sounds and shapes of letters, there are children who can not read their own names, there are children who can not write his own name. The place and time of the study conducted in PAUD IT Insani Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu held for four months. This type of research using action research (PTK). Subjects in this study were all children aged 5-6 years in PAUD IT Insani Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu totaling 12 people. The tools used to collect data on early reading skills is the observation sheet. Based on the survey results revealed that early reading skills in children aged 5-6 years in PAUD IT Insani Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu before using the card game picture word early childhood literacy is still low by obtaining an average value of 35%. After the implementation of the action on the second cycle, the acquisition value of the average child's ability to recognize early reading increased to 87%. Based on the analysis results of the study it can be concluded that the pictorial word card game can improve early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years in PAUD IT Insani Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu.
