Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Melalui Bermain Teka-Teki Silang Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di KB Harapan Bunda Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
Abstract: This paper contains the results of classroom action research (PTK) conducted in PAUD Buah Hati Bunda Tebing Tinggi District of Meranti Island. Based on the observation that some children aged 5-6 years are still low in reading ability that is in mentioning the symbols of the letters are known, recognize the sound of the initial letter of the names of objects around, mention groups of images that have the same initial sound/letter, understand the relationship between sound and letter form. Then do efforts to improve the ability to read the beginning of the action is done in 2 cycles. Each cycle is done 3 times meeting. Before the action, the ability to read the beginning of the child only 34.28% ie “start growing”. After the action is done, then the cycle 1 ability reading the beginning of the child increased to 45.83%. In cycle 2 it increased to 67.37%. These improvements include the “very well developed” range.
