Gambaran Kompetensi Profesional Guru PAUD Di Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci
Abstract: This research is motivated by the low of professional competence of early childhood teachers in Pangkalan Kerinci Sub District. This research aimed to know the description of professional competence of early childhood teachers in Pangkalan Kerinci Sub District, as seen from the understanding the development stage of children age 0-6 years, the understanding of the growth and the development of children, the understanding of educational stimulation, care and protect the children, building cooperation with parents in educating, parenting, and protecting. The sample of this research are 75 teachers of bachelor degree of early childhood education in Pangkalan Kerinci Sub District taken from Slovin Formula. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive to see the profile of professional competence of early childhood teachers in Pangkalan Kerinci Sub District. The data collection techniques used questioner. While the data analysis techniques used percentage formula. Based on the data analysis, known that the percentage profile of professional competence with sub competence to understand the development stage of children age 0-6 years are 94.23% with “very good” criteria, sub competence to understand the growth and the development of children are 94.25% with “very good” criteria, sub competence to understand educational stimulation, care and protect to the children are 94,6% with “very good” criteria, and sub competence to build cooperation with parents in educating, caring and protecting the child are 94.399% with “very good” criteria. With a large overall average percentage are 94.52% with “very good” criteria.
