Analisis Daya Saing Daerah Antar Kecamatan Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

This study aims to analyze the variables that influence and determine the regional competitiveness of Kepulauan Meranti in 2018 using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This study uses primary data with questionnaires and interviews with 40 respondents consists of members of the Regency DPRD, sub-district heads, heads of government sections, Socio-Cultural and Village Community Empowerment.
This study consists of five institutional variables; socio-political, regional labor economy and productivity and physical infrastructure. The results of competitiveness between sub-districts showed that economic variables score in Tasik Putri Puyu sub-district is 0.475, infrastructure score in Tebing Tinggi physical is 0.373, labor and productivity score of Pulau Merbau is 0.216, institutions score in Rangsang Pesisir Barat is 0.260 and social politics score in Rangsang Pesisir is 0.333. The result of the research on analyze of sub-district Regional Competitiveness In Kepulauan Meranti District showed that Tebing Tinggi Barat sub-district has the highest regional competitiveness score with 0,135 and Rangsang Pesisir sub-district has the lower regional competitiveness score with 0,073.
