Implementasi Pengelolaan Limbah Cair Di Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Lagoon Rumbai Pt Chevron Pacific Indonesia
Waste water treatment at PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia is one of the vital unit for the company and for other industries. PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT. CPI) has a high commitment to environmental sustainability in its operational area, including the fulfillment of compliance with waste water resulting from activities carried out in all Sumatran operational areas, one them is the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Lagoon Rumbai. The environmental impact caused by the domestic wastewater treatment system WWTP Lagoon Rumbai was managed based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control, and PERMENLHK No. 68 of 2016 concerning Domestic Waste Water Quality Standards.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the quality of waste waste management, analyze the waste water management system at the WWTP Lagoon Rumbai PT. CPI and to find out the knowledge of the waste water management officer and the Community about the management of waste water at the WWTP Lagoon Rumbai PT. CPI. This research was conducted in January to May 2019 at PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia Rumbai, Pekanbaru, Riau. By Using quantitative approach through survey methods and direct observation in the field accompanied by sampling of wastewater and analyzed in the KAN laboratory and giving questionnaires to respondents who were related to the study.
Based on the results of the waste water sampling conducted by researcher on the influent and effluent point WWTP Lagoon Rumbai, It is known that the quality of the results of the management and implementation of wastewater in the WWTP Lagoon Rumbai PT CPI as a whole is good. The wastewater treatment system managed is very effective in reducing ammonia levels (94.9%). Effective for reducing COD levels (65%) and effective enough to reduce BOD levels (46.4%) and TSS (43.2%), but less effective in reducing oil and fat levels (28.9%) and less effective for reduce total coliform (24.5%). The wastewater treatment system managed is not effective for reducing pH levels (5.2%). Overall, domestic wastewater treatment at WWTP Lagoon Rumbai has been able to reduce the value of pollutants below the quality standard PERMENLHK No. 68 of 2016 regulation. It is known that respondents have very high knowledge of waste management 39 respondents (65%) and 21 respondents (35%) have high knowledge of waste management.
