Analisis Kondisi Ekonomi Masyarakat Yang Berada Disekitar Pabrik Pt. Eluan Mahkota Di Kecamatan Kepenuhan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

The purpose of this study was to determine the economic conditions of the
people in Kepenuh Subdistrict that were around PT. Eluan Mahkota which is
affected by liquid waste pollution. This study uses secondary data that has been
collected by data collection institutions for publication and primary data obtained
directly from respondents through direct interaction and questionnaires. The
sampling method used in this study was random sampling using the Taroyamane
formula. The population in this study was 955 and a sample of 42 respondents,
namely people who lived and carried out economic activities around the river
flow contaminated with factory waste PT. Eluan Mahkota The method used in this
research is descriptive method. The results of this study indicate pollution that
occurs in the river Batang Lubuh by PT. Eluan Mahkota has a negative impact on
the economic activities of the surrounding community by reducing the income of
the community from fishing in the river and the results of ponds that have been
made on the river flow due to the pollution. In terms of public health, they also
complained about various diseases that they suffered due to pollution that
occurred as well as the increase in expenses for treatment due to illnesses
suffered.
