Pemberian Pakan Berbasis Aktivitas Enzim Pencernaan Larva Ikan Selais (Ompok hypophthalmus Blkr)
There are three main enzymes that play in feed digestion that are protese, amylase and lipase. The activity of each enzyme develops varies depending on fish species, feed, and environmental factors. The aims of this study was to: 1) determine the relationship of larvae age with mouth opening and enzyme activity, 2) determine the relationship of larvae age with the amount of feed consumed and the digestion rate, 3) determine the relationship of feed type with enzyme activity, survival rate, spesific growth rate and absolute length growth of selais (O. hypopthalmus Blkr.) larvae. This study used Complete Randomly Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The feed type factors are: Artemia sp, Tubifex sp, and shrimp pellet + EZ plus Nutrient Digester and Deliver. Larvae age factors are : 0-7 days, 8-15 days, 16-23 days, and 24-31 days. The results showed that the increasing age of larvae will produce the increasing mouth opening of 1.13-2.67 mm, amylase activity of 0.045-0.732 IU/ml, protease activity of 0.331-0.913 IU/ml, amount of feed consumed of 72.41-649.20 %, digestion rate of 2.45-3.90 hours. The feed type significantly affect the protese activity of 0.331-0.913 IU/ml, survival rate of 31-100%, spesific growth rate of 0.47-4.76% and absolute length growth of 2.7-11.7 mm.
