Pengaruh Hutan Mangrove Terhadap Garis Pantai DiPulau Rangsang Provinsi Riau
Research has been conducted in May - June 2019 on the Rangsang
Island.This study aims to determine the effect of mangrove forests to coastlines
contained in Rangsang Island Riau Province. Sampling location determined by
purposive sampling that is by 3 station points that’s Segomeng village, Sungai
Gayung Kiri village, and Tanjung Kedabu village. Then analyzed at the
Laboratory of Physical Oceanography Department of Marine Sciences Faculty of
Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. To determine the mangrove area using
satellite imagery Landsat 5 TM and Landsat 8 OLI Tirs and analyzed using Er
Mapper Software, Envi 4.5 and ArcGIS 10.3. Calculations of the Strukrur
Community mangrove plot line transect method. The results of the analysis of
Landsat imagery extensive coastal mangrove Rangsang Island in 1997, 2002,
2007, 2013, 2019 respectively amounting to 11 093 ha, 10 807 ha, 10 393 ha,
10,121 ha and 9971. Changes in the shoreline indicate the occurrence of abrasion
and accretion, where the highest abrasion occurs at three stations with an average
of -7.6 m/year and accretion occurs in one station with an average of 2.68 m/year.
The density of the mangrove on the station that is 2266.7 ind / ha and the two
stations is 1466.7 ind / ha. Mangrove species encountered Rhizophora apiculata,
Rhizophora mucronata, Avicennia alba, Sonneratia ovata, Bruguiera
gymnorrhiza, and Xylocarpus granatum.
