Isolasi Dan Identifikasi Bakteri Pada Usus Ular Lumpur Mangrove (Cerberus Rynchops) Dan Uji Antagonisme Terhadap Bakteri Patogen
The research was carried out in July 2019 at the Fish Quarantine Station Laboratory
of Quality Control and Safety of Pekanbaru Fishery Products and the Genetic Laboratory of
the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of
Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the bacteria found in the intestines of
mangrove mud snakes (Cerberus rynchops) that live in the mangrove area and the level of
antagonism of these bacteria against the pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila,
Aeromonas salmonicida and Edwardsiella ictaluri. The method used in this study is a survey
method. Based on the results of research carried out the hypothesis accepted is H1, namely
bacteria in the mangrove snake intestine can inhibit pathogenic bacteria. The results of DNA
analysis using the 16S rRNA PCR method and BLAST analysis revealed that the U1c isolate
was identified as a bacterial species Enterecoccus gallinarum. The results of antagonism test
showed that isolates that had antagonistic ability against 3 pathogenic bacteria (A.
hydrophila, A. sakmonicida and E. ictaluri) were U1c isolates with strong inhibition
category, while isolates U1a, U1b, U1d, U2a, U2b, U2c, U2c , U3a, U3b and U3c with weak
inhibition category and isolates U1e, U1f, U2d, U2f, U3d and U3e were only able to inhibit 2
of pathogenic bacteria with weak inhibitory categories.
