Analisis Kandungan Bahan Organik Total Dan Kelimpahan Fitoplankton Secara Vertikal Di Perairan Pantai Purnama Dumai, Provinsi Riau

The research was conducted in July 2019 in the waters of Purnama Beach Dumai Riau province, in order to determine the total organic matter content vertically at each station, knowing the type and abundance of phytoplankton vertically at each station, and determine the relationship of total organic matter content with the abundance phytoplankton vertically. The method used is a survey method that consists of three depths at four observation stations. Based on the results of the study, the average value of total organic matter content highest in afotik zone (8.53 mg / L) and the lowest level (6.16 mg / L). No differencetotal organic matter content among depths. Phytoplankton are found in the waters of Dumai Purnama Beach there are 7 species, where the species most dominating is that Isthmia sp. Total highest abundance on the surface of (3345.67 ind / L) and the lowest in afotik zone (1029.44 ind / L). No difference between the depth of the abundance of phytoplankton, Total organic matter content relationships with an abundance of phytoplankton showed a very strong relationship which with increasing total organic matter content of the abundance of phytoplankton will decrease.
