Efektivitas Satasima (Sarung Tangan Refleksi Manual) Terhadap Gejala Parestesia Tangan Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus
SATASIMA (Manual Reflection Gloves) is a tool specifically designed for hand reflexology massage therapy independently. This study uses SATASIMA which consists of thin gloves for the inner layer and thick gloves for the outer layer and 6 marbles with a diameter of 1.5 cm placed between the thin gloves and thick gloves as acupressure media to suppress the reflection points on the palm hand. The point of reflection given massage therapy in this study is the point of reflection found in the fingers and the point of reflection of the pancreas. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of SATASIMA on symptoms of hand paresthesias in patients with diabetes mellitus with the One Groups Pretest-Posttest research design. The research sample of 15 respondents was taken by purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument for symptoms of hand paresthesia used is a questionnaire sheet. Pre test and post test is done every day for 3 days in a row. The analysis used was univariate analysis to describe the characteristics of respondents and bivariate analysis using the Paired Sample T Test for comparison of symptoms of hand paresthesia before and after SATASIMA therapy. The results showed there were differences in the average symptoms of hand paresthesias with a pre-test value of 6,33 and a post-test of 3,42. Statistical test results obtained p value 0.000
