Morfometrik Dan Meristik Ikan Sumatra (Puntius Hexazona) Di Perairan Umum Sekitar Fakultas Perikanan Dan Kelautan Universitas Riau Dan Hulu Sungai Sibam
Puntius hexazona (Sumatran fish) is a type of freshwater fish that inhabit the waters around in the FPK Universitas Riau area and the upstream of the Sibam River. A study aims to determine the morphometric and meristic P. hexazona in two those different waters was conducted in August-October 2019. Sampling was carried out 4 times , once/ 2 weeks. The parameters measured were morphometric, meristic and length-weight relationship of the fish. The number of fish caught in the waters in the campus area was 37 fish and in the upstream of the Sibam River was 25. The morphologically of the fish from both sampling areas has no significant difference. The only difference was the brightness of the body color, as P. hexazona from the waters around Universitas Riau was brighter than that of the fish from the Sibam River. The meristic of the fish from both area was identic, D. I, 6-9 P. 8-13 V. 6-8 A. I, 4-6. Length-weight relationship of fish from the waters around the Universitas Riauwas negative allometric with b = 2.2119 for female , while those of the Sibam River was b = 2.5536 for male and b = 3.277 for female.
